Artist Statement
My current body of work is about identity related to possessions, home and ancestry. I use a mixture of figurative and still life painting techniques to explore these subjects. I work with acrylic paint and glitter glue to create medium to large scale paintings on canvas and wood panels. My creative process varies, from creating collages in my sketchbook for my figurative paintings to taking pictures of my possessions for my still life paintings.
Bio
Nathalie O’Brien lives and works in San Francisco. She graduated from San Francisco State University in 2020, earning a Bachelors of Art (Concentration in Studio Art). She is currently a studio artist with Root Division.
